Reporting to the Senior Engineer Process Control this position is responsible for maintaining and optimising the process departments instrumentation systems, so that a high level of data integrity and plant availability is maintained.

In This Role You Will

  • Provide expert knowledge and understanding of all aspects of technical functions and develop a preventative maintenance strategy whilst supporting continuous improvement projects

  • Maintain a high standard of safety and promoting our OH&S policy and procedures through demonstrated safe work practices.

  • Monitor and control overhead charges and providing details submissions on variances whist identifying improvements to cost control.

  • Ensure the quality of instrumentation work output.

  • Submit accurate reports on time in line with all statutory and company standards.

  • Maintain regular engagement with various instrumentation vendors


Your Skills, Training & Experience

  • Y ou will hold an Electrical / Instrumentation Trade Certificate with around 8 – 10 years recent instrumentation experience across both operational and design roles (preferably in the mining industry).

  • Knowledge of modern instrumentation and wiring design tools (AutoCAD, Smart Instrumentation)

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus)

  • Your 3 to 5 years experience in gold or base metals and milling operations is desirable but not essential.

    You will be self motivated with high attention to detail, along with a demonstrated problem solving ability and advanced computer skills. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will also ensure your success in this position.
