ProSphere Tek Cybersecurity Threat/Warnings Analyst in Panhandle, Texas

Overview

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Cybersecurity Threat/Warnings Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will develop unique cyber indicators to maintain constant awareness of the status of the highly dynamic operating environment. This is a hybrid role at the U.S. DOE Pantex Plant in Panhandle, Texas, and involves the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of cyber warning assessments.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain unique cyber indicators to ensure constant situational awareness

● Collect and process cybersecurity intelligence

● Analyze and disseminate cyber warning assessments

● Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities

● Contribute to the security posture of the organization by identifying potential threats

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

● Comprehensive understanding of computer networking, security methodologies, and cyber-attack stages

● Proficiency in laws, regulations, policies, and ethics related to cybersecurity and privacy

● Expertise in identifying and analyzing cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and intrusion sets

● Familiarity with SCADA systems, host-based security products, and network security basics

● Ability to conduct non-attributable research and utilize deep web resources

● Skilled in preparing and presenting briefings and writing intelligence/assessment products

● Ability to source data accurately and articulate intelligence requirements effectively

● Capability to utilize multiple intelligence sources across all disciplines

● Knowledge of the common networking and routing protocols (e.g. TCP/IP), services (e.g., web, mail, DNS), and how they interact to provide network communications

● Knowledge of website types, administration, functions, and content management system (CMS)

● Knowledge of wireless technologies (e.g., cellular, satellite, GSM) to include the basic structure, architecture, and design of modern wireless communications systems

● Identify threats to Blue Force vulnerabilities

● Report intelligence-derived significant network events and intrusions

● Skill in identifying critical target elements, to include critical target elements for the cyber domain

● Skill in providing understanding of target or threat systems through the identification and link analysis of physical, functional, or behavioral relationships

● Ability to accurately and completely source all data used in intelligence, assessment and/or planning products

Minimum Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, you must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Q clearance.

Education/Experience Levels:

● Level 1:

○ PhD in a technical field with limited experience

○ Master's degree in a technical field with 2-5 years of related experience

○ Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5-10 years of related experience

○ Associate's degree in a technical field with 10-15 years of related experience

○ Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty required

● Level 2:

○ PhD in a technical field with 2-5 years of related experience

○ Master's degree in a technical field with 5-10 years of related experience

○ Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 10-15 years of related experience

○ Associate's degree in a technical field with 15-20 years of related experience

○ Recognized as an expert in their field with demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty

● Level 3:

○ PhD in a technical field with 5+ years of related experience

○ Master's degree in a technical field with 10+ years of related experience

○ Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 15+ years of related experience

○ Associate's degree in a technical field with 20+ years of related experience

○ Recognized as an expert in their field with demonstrated in-depth knowledge and skills in a technical specialty

○ This level is limited to a small population
