OTA is seeking a Configuration Manager to manage and execute project and configuration management processes to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across our teams and networks. This role involves overseeing change control, coordinating audits, and maintaining version control. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of IT Project management and configuration management methodologies.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Apply a solid understanding of project and configuration management concepts at an associate level, preferably supported by CompTIA Project+ certification or equivalent
Coordinate and audit the Configuration Management Process to ensure alignment with best practices and compliance standards
Host monthly Change Control Boards (CCB) or as needed to address and review configuration changes across projects
Ensure the implementation of the 5-phase change control process across all networks and teams, guaranteeing systematic and secure change management
Oversee project planning and identification, covering essential aspects such as Scope of Change, Requirements, Test Cases, Software, and Hardware components
Manage version control, including the classification of project components, tracking versions (current vs. proposed), and enforcing standard naming conventions (names, labels, revisions, files)
Facilitate the change control process, which includes managing ad-hoc changes, conducting impact analysis, and ensuring all changes receive Flight Approval before implementation
Maintain accurate configuration status accounting by recording and evaluating changes from one baseline to the next, monitoring the status and resolution of change requests, and ensuring all related documentation is created, updated, and stored appropriately
Conduct and oversee configuration audits and reviews to confirm compliance with standards, validate goal achievement from the planning phase, and ensure all changes align with reports and documentation
Required Qualifications
Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Associates Degree or Approved Equivalent Experience
CompTIA Project+ Project Management Professional (PMP)
Minimum of 4 years of IT related project management experience
