The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a Full Time Heart Failure, Transplant and VAD Cardiologist. Clinical duties include inpatient Heart Failure, Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support services as well as outpatient Heart Failure, Heart Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support clinics. Other responsibilities may include outreach clinics, donor call, and right heart catheterization/ endomyocardial biopsy/ CardioMEMS procedures tailored to the applicant’s experience. The prospective faculty member will also be expected to participate in the research and teaching activities of the Section and Division.

Interventional Cardiology or Critical Care board certifications are highly desired but not required.

Clinical practice and teaching facilities at USC include the Keck Medical Center of USC, LAC+USC Medical Center, and the USC Cardiac and Vascular Institute with clinical and research programs in heart failure, percutaneous valve implants, structural heart disease, electrophysiology, congenital heart disease, and vascular and cardiothoracic surgery.

Applicants must have an MD/DO degree, BC in Cardiovascular Medicine and BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology, and eligible for a California medical license. Clinical experience at an academic medical center is recommended. The successful candidate will receive competitive compensation and appointment in the Department of Medicine at an academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

“The annual base salary range for this position is $220,000-$340,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.”
