We are seeking a skilled Fire Suppression Sales Specialist or industry professional with expertise in residential fire suppression and a deep understanding of NFPA codes and standards. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic communicator, capable of delivering engaging presentations to fire officials, and large groups. This role involves collaboration with our sales team to identify and pursue new opportunities within the industry, requiring travel to various locations. This candidate will also be involved with the presentation of new market concepts to the fire suppression industry and invoking adoption of new industry solutions.
Responsibilities
Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of fire suppression systems, specifically for residential applications and water mist applications.
Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and standards in all projects and presentations.
Presentation Skills: Develop and deliver engaging presentations on fire safety and suppression technologies to fire officials, industry partners, and large audiences.
Conduct training sessions to educate clients and partners on fire suppression standard processes.
Sales Support: Travel with sales team members to meet potential clients, assess their needs, and find opportunities for quoting fire suppression water mist systems.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized proposals and solutions for clients.
Industry Engagement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to fire suppression.
Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to promote Ferguson Fire & Fab and establish relationships with key collaborators.
Project Coordination: Assist in the design and engineering of fire suppression systems for residential applications as well as potential commercial application opportunities.
Work closely with project management to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or field related certification in Fire Protection.
Proven experience in fire suppression systems, particularly in residential applications.
In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes and standards related to fire safety, specifically NFPA 13, 13D, 750, 72, and IBC.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience speaking to large groups.
Ability to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
Good understanding of how to work product specifications.
NICET in Fire Protection or related field.
5 years experience in a sales support role within the fire safety industry.
Familiarity with software tools for fire protection system design.
Experience with water mist applications regarding fire suppression
