Making Cents International Capacity Strengthening Consultants in United States
Making Cents International is recruiting for senior and mid-level consultants to support organizational capacity strengthening activities for projects in the following areas: economic opportunities, youth development, women’s empowerment, inclusive development, democracy human rights, and governance, and monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning. The aim of these activities is to strengthen the capacity of local organizations around the world to advance localization efforts. We seek mid-level and senior-level experts with demonstrated experience and expertise who can support organizational capacity strengthening activities, contribute to the development of long-term capacity strengthening strategies and lead teams in their design and implementation.
This position is contingent upon winning a contract award.
Principal Responsibilities:
Oversee the design and implementation of capacity strengthening-related project activities, including supporting other team members on tasks as needed, and developing tools to track the progress in capacity strengthening initiatives over time
Track and report on indicators relevant to capacity strengthening objectives
Prepare capacity assessment reports, capacity strengthening plans, presentations, and other deliverables as necessary
Conduct organizational capacity assessments using standard tools such as the Non-US Pre-Award Survey (NUPAS) and Organizational Capacity Assessment (OCA) to review partner financial, administrative, governance, procurement, HR management, and IT capacities
Develop and implement organizational capacity strengthening activities to respond to identified gaps
Provide targeted technical assistance to partners including training, coaching, and mentoring to prepare organizations to receive and manage donor funding
Required Qualifications:
Senior-level: Master’s degree in a related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 16 years of experience
Mid-level: Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 12 years of experience
Ability to build and motivate diverse teams with proven leadership, interpersonal, and intercultural skills
Written and oral fluency in English, proficiency in other languages a plus
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in designing and implementing capacity strengthening projects and training programs
Previous experience in training and capacity building for USAID Missions and other organizations
