Role and Responsibilities
Job description
The primary responsibility of the role is to enable the global business with visibility, alignment and strategic planning. This includes optimization of business and asset performance, identifying opportunities for increased yields and/or cost mitigation. Developing deployment strategies to earn new market/wallet share and align with business growth strat plan. Coordinate global reporting including CAPEX, and ensuring alignment of all stakeholders. Provide market views of customers, competitors, and tools to bring visibility to market opportunities. Provide forecast visibility and identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging Power BI and other tools.
Roles & responsibilities
Business optimization and strategic planning
Develop asset strategies to optimize network yield, and proactively identify opportunities for improved performance such as new market share.
Act as the central global point of contact for coordination of asset deployment timelines, while bringing visibility to revenue/ cost opportunities and risks.
Review and present to the leadership team the key financial and operational metrics and comparative performance for the business including regional, location and asset.
Provide market and other analysis for the strategic planning and budgeting process and facilitate the formulation of the strategic plan among the leadership team and stakeholders.
Operational execution
Ensure timely delivery of various CAT/FTO global reporting requirements for forecast review, corporate finance, revenue review, and other reporting as relevant.
Coordinate summary of projects (ex. deployments, relocations, facilities expansions) including timelines and CAPEX spend (vs Plan and Forecast). Monitor RFT dates for deployments and relocations, remain in line with customer commitments, and ensure forecast accuracy and alignment with any adjustments to timelines.
Align global pricing process and provide reporting on pricing trends (internal/external), costs per hour, and yield management.
Review and support of all Power BI reporting tools to provide timely, accurate and reliable reporting data.
Market intimacy
Consolidate a competitive analysis, enabling the regional businesses with intelligence to increase market share and new pipeline opportunities.
Produce regular reports and dashboards concerning market size and penetration, marketing practices and sales trends to further support sales activities.
Develop tools and analysis providing visibility to global aircraft by operator and fleet, supporting market opportunities and deployment strategies to the leadership team.
Forecast management
Enhance the regional forecast and budgeting process through co-ordination and co-operation with operations, sales and finance.
Coordinate with regions, identify opportunities for automation, while increasing both the efficiency and effectiveness of the forecasting process. Support transition and development of Power BI forecasting tools.
Support the monthly forecast meetings to discuss variances and opportunities while developing mitigation plans for any risks. Track, evaluate and report on progress of those mitigation plans.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business related field
MBA would be an added advantage
3-6 years of related experience
Financial acumen and financial reporting knowledge preferred
Strategic thinker - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Presentation skills – ability to simplify and coherently present complex and technical topics to leadership
Strong ability to build relationships as this is a business partner role
Proactive, and takes ownership of accountabilities and portfolio
Work well under pressure and work with a sense of urgency
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
Strong technical skills (e.g., MS Excel, data analysis, MS PowerPoint)
Bilingual French/English
