About the Role

We’re looking for an innovative and experienced Business Development Manager to develop new and potential accounts for our Edge Compute product at StackPath. This person works with prospective customers to explore the strengths and weaknesses of their current systems and to develop and implement an effective sales strategy for either individual or bundled solutions.  The BDM owns the strategic selling process and communicates value to resolve client’s issues.  This person is responsible for the orchestration of the sales process, including the implementation and transition process for new business. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a variety of comprehensive sales plans, both long and short term, to sell new business.

  • Own the information base on prospective customers.

  • Researching organizations, individual, and industry spend to find new opportunities.

  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

  • Write proposals that are detailed, innovative, lively and customer oriented.

  • Prospecting and developing new markets and improving sales.

  • Achieve new sales goals by managing and directing the sales process.

  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

  • Collaboration with operations to develop quotes and proposals for clients.

  • Proposing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

  • Develop extensive knowledge of StackPath’s products and services.

  • Think and plan strategically and work effectively with the operations teams to achieve the budgeted results.

    Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field.

  • Experience in sales, marketing or related field.

  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
