What We Want
Do you like to solve problems and think creatively? As a Building Access Technician I, you are responsible for installing and repairing mechanical door locks, related services, and projects in university structures. You will assist the Building Access Supervisor and the Building Access Technician II with normal operating shop functions including installation, maintenance, and repair of university card access systems. We need your ability to assist with installation of university card access systems in university structures. Wires and installs control modules, card readers, door hardware, and all other components of the system. Maintains the university card access system by troubleshooting wiring problems or lock malfunctions. Includes use of a volt/ohm meter, and other tools to troubleshoot. You will provide excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills in every aspect of your job.
What You Need To Know
Salary is commensurate with experience with a starting pay of $16.04 per hour.

This position is located in College Station, TX. Remote/Work from alternate location is not available at this time.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma, or GED
2 years’ experience in locksmithing, carpentry, electronics, or related field
State issued driver license.
Preferred Education and Experience
The well-qualified candidate will have 2+ years hands on experience working with key systems and lock hardware, k nowledgeable in master keying systems, and commercial door hardware,
