Description

The Associate Manager motivates and manages the team members resolves minor issues from clients and conducts research for payment changes. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to overseeing the prompt answering of phones approving/denying time off approving/adjusting time punches training new agents and current agents on new procedures etc. This position is open to both office and virtual associates.

Major Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Overseeing a team of agents who book worldwide travel

  • Working directly with the Manager on day-to-day operations

  • Oversee all itineraries verifying reservations for appropriate QC and reviewing travel authorizations

  • Ability to be flexible with daily workloads

  • Handle agent and client issues promptly by gathering all information and research before going to the Manager

  • Assist the Manager in monitoring on a continual basis the level of incoming /outgoing calls turnover transaction rates and error/write offs

  • Monitor the pre/post trip reporting •Assist Manager with departmental goals and projects

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service internally and externally

  • Full working knowledge and proficiency in Fly America Open Skies and Federal Travel Regulations

  • Strong international background both geographical and rate structures

  • Excellent phone etiquette

  • Strong GDS Knowledge of Sabre

  • Good client presentation skills

  • Adhere to full discretion and confidentiality for our client

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal supervision

  • Must be willing to work all varying shifts from 7:00AM to 7:00PM CST as well as after hours and weekends as necessary and directed by management

  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Conflict resolution

Education & Experience Requirements :

  • 5 years of experience as a Travel Agent

  • Previous customer service experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Physical Requirements:

This position is sedentary in nature, which requires very little to no lifting, pushing and pulling. The primary functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time. The ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time without leaving the work area is required.
