Job Description

This Tenure Track position is responsible for supporting the Kinesiology and Physical Education program to include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and providing academic guidance and mentoring to advisees. In addition, this position will be expected to conduct scholarly activities including research and provide service to the department, college, and university, and must have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching at the college or university level is highly desirable. This can include serving as a teaching assistant, instructor, or lecturer prior to obtaining a full-time faculty position.

• Research Experience: Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research in the field of Kinesiology and closely related disciplines.

• Professional Involvement: Active involvement in professional organizations related to kinesiology and physical education is beneficial.

  Required Education & Experience:

• Doctoral Degree: A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Kinesiology or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education by August 2024.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong digital literacy skills, including the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies that can enhance teaching and research.

• Experience with using technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Experience working with students from various socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
