Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese Assistant Center Director Domestic Violence in United States

Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.

  1. Primarily responsible for providing case management and supportive services to clients and/or their families in order to promote self-sufficiency. Advocates for clients with regard to financial assistance, state/federal benefits, housing, education, child care, skill testing and development programs, job training, job referral and/or treatment programs. Must maintain a flexible work schedule to work evening hours, weekends and/or special events, as needed2. Assists the Center Director with the daily and overall operations of House of Peace3. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in monitoring and evaluating client progress. Meets with each client as required by the program or based on client needs4. Handles a wide array of administrative tasks to ensure compliance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations. Responsible for maintaining, updating and submitting routine and ad-hoc reports, as necessary5. Develops and facilitates scheduled monthly support group meetings (e.g. domestic violence concepts), establishes services plans and intervenes, when necessary, using a variety of professional approaches including strength based perspective6. Responsible for ensuring that the cleaning and maintenance of the facility are performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary7. Handles all client and employee complaints as well as crisis situations in consultation with Center Director and in compliance with Agency/Programmatic policies and procedures and treats each case with sensitivity and expedience8. Participates in community outreach efforts and collaborates with other professionals in assisting the client in meeting the goals of the service plan9. Follows established procedures for any concerns related to security or safety in House of Peace10. Must be fluent in English and Spanish to provide language interpretation for clients with limited English proficiency

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.Push and pull objects up to 30 pounds.Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time.Lift up to 30 pounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:Relevant Education:Preferred: BSW or BAMinimum: MSW or MA

Relevant Experience:Preferred: Five years of case management experience Minimum: Two years of case management experience

Certification/Licensure:Preferred: LCSW or LCPCMinimum: 40 hour Domestic Violence Training Certificate
