JEVS Human Services Apprenticeship Job Developer in United States

The Apprenticeship Job Developer handles the generation of apprenticeship opportunities for participants. This role will build relationships with employer partners, placement-related follow-ups and reporting, and utilizing work placement options that match their interests and career goals. This position will also work with the Youth Job Developer, Director, Career Services, and Director, Employment Services.

This role will be hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Network with agencies and community partners.

  • Contact appropriate employers to promote the hiring of participants.

  • Maintain contact with the employer during the hiring process for job retention or promotion. If the participant is not hired, find the reason why and work with the team to improve competitiveness.

  • Serve as liaison for internships, externships, pre-apprenticeship, and apprenticeships.

  • Recommend activities/workshops/classes that will assist in job finding and skill development

  • Market registered-pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship services and participants to employers. Explain any applicable tax credits and other benefits to employers.

  • Associate’s degree preferred

  • 3 years job development, placement, workforce or sales experience

  • Experience in job development, career services, and career counseling/coaching or other relevant experience.

  • Experience or familiarity with the registered apprenticeship model is a plus but not required.

  • Some inner-city travel required. Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance required.

The base pay for this position ranges from $40,500 to $49,500 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
