Our client, a global IT leader, is seeking an Application Security Engineer to join their team. As the Application Engineer, you will be part of our client’s Application Security team, driving security best practices within their Enterprise organization. You’ll play an important role in assisting groups in securely architecting and operating their applications and platforms by aligning to industry standard methodologies, compliance and privacy requirements via the client’s Security Control Framework.

This role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the security, privacy and data protection needs of a large enterprise that is continually evolving its business models.

Job Title: Application Security Engineer

Location: REMOTE within the U.S.

Pay Range: $50-55/hr W2

Contract: 6-12 months

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to build tools and automate data collection using an interpreted programming language

• Utilize foundation in security domains such as web security, cloud services security, identity/access management, web application firewalls, intrusion detection, and static analysis and dynamic application security testing

• Apply knowledge of threats, vulnerabilities, defenses, security principles and policies.

• Identify security vulnerabilities and remediation documented by organizations like OWASP, SANS, etc.

• Proven foundation of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) and a working knowledge of SDL requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. in cybersecurity/information security/information technology

• 3+ years information security experience

• Understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps, and CI/CD terminology

• Knowledge of cloud service providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) is preferred.

• Knowledge of scripting/coding languages (Bash/JavaScript/Perl/Ruby/Python/Powershell) is preferred.
