SMX is seeking a cross-functional position for analytical standards and risk management to support to our Elevate ISR service platform. This position will work closely with our Expeditionary, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (ePED) and Global Open-Source Threat Network Disruption Cell (“GOST Cell”) customers and leadership team as well as Elevate-ISR leadership and future customers to deliver a no-fail outcome-based platform. ePED is a commercially based open architecture that leverages network information to provide near-instantaneously derived intelligence for the Command and Control (C2) of platforms and sensor systems. In addition, the E-PED architecture leverages information products that utilize Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) for more effective C2 systems and sensors in target-rich environments.
The GOST Cell utilizes commercial subscriptions, social media, financial transactions, and open-sourced data to identify, disrupt, and interdict transnational threat networks responsible for illicit drug trafficking, illicit financial flows, and the illicit trafficking of people, wildlife, natural resources, and weapons. GOST Cell employs publicly available information (PAI), non-traditional intelligence gathering, and exploitation methods to provide customers with insight with focus on counter counterdrug (CD) and counter-transnational organized crime (CTOC).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Succinctly incorporate measures of quality assurance and quality control across the platform prior to release of intelligence reporting support the collection, analysis, and evaluation of geo-fused products and services
Maintain understanding of industry-relevant laws and bylaws to ensure that the platform operates with confidence and within scope of policy directives
Advise on policy and develop strategies for utilization of partners to ensure the platform maintains a positive reputation
Ensure analytic rigor across the platform by developing and maintaining analytic tradecraft standards that ensure the value of the platform across the enterprise advising on recovery action and developing risk management tools and plans
Study, evaluate, and report on source data, to include spatial data and deliver strategic assessments for platform development
Utilize available industry data, including market data available for purchase, outside reports, and other data provided by the requested agency, to identify threat networks, deliver published writings
Assess multidiscipline sources to provide package assessments that provide accurate and timely analysis based upon each individual customer need
Provide analysis and assessments of commercially available and open-source data to deliver actional intelligence products
Apply expertise in operations, intelligence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and collections to enhance the Elevate-ISR platform and customer mission
This billet is remote but willingness to travel is a must
Maintain analytic tradecraft standards that enhance the value of the platform developing content as needed to ensure gaps are mitigated
Required Skills
Required clearance: TS/SCI
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data, solve problems, and effectively communicate results to senior leaders and decision makers
Demonstrated ability to lead and operate within a team environment focused on researching multifaceted or critical problems
Demonstrated ability to operate independently in performing research, data fusion, and analysis of multi-discipline datasets
Knowledge of internet-based research, including Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, and internet sources, including social media, social networking tools, data exploitation, and commercial- and industry-based databases
Ability to acquire, display, and analyze spatio-temporal data
Demonstrate critical thinking skills and tradecraft standards to deliver analytic findings in textual form, graphic annotation, or other formats as directed by the government customer, and develop and present briefings to support customer requirements
Required Experience
5-10 years relevant experience
Experience with advanced search techniques, information databases, data visualization, and related tools
Experience converting data collected from multiple sources to provide analytical assessments and reports
Experience utilizing commercially available unclassified analysis toolsets, including but not limited to: Analyst’s Notebook, ArcMap/ArcPro, Google Earth
Knowledge of other intelligence disciplines, including signals intelligence (SIGINT), human intelligence (HUMINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
Experience with publicly available information (PAI) analytic principals
