Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to join our team in Mesa.

The Account Executive is part of the sales team, responsible for managing existing B2B customers of CAE Phoenix Aviation Academy. This includes building strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, defining and executing strategies for each account, managing contracts to maximize intake and revenue and finding additional sales opportunities.

This position is a hybrid role, with an expectation for onsite work during the initial three-month training period.

About the job:

  • Establish potential intake shortfalls ahead of time; action strategies to mitigate these shortfalls

  • Finding opportunities to add additional services or expand wallet share (e.g. ATP CTP or simulator training);

  • Work with CAE’s Treasure to find additional financing partners for domestic programs

  • Define account strategy for each account; work closely with customer service and operations teams to put these into practice

  • Handle airlines and key stakeholder visits

  • Contract renewals & amendments for existing accounts

  • Keeping contracts and revenue records up to date

  • Ensuring all departments have up-to-date pricing and contract information

  • Quarterly reporting

  • Finding additional hour building opportunities for domestic cadets

  • Managing requests from existing accounts

  • Support Regional Sales Manager with implementation items for new Cadet Programs

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Sound understanding of customer awareness requirements

  • High level of interpersonal skills and professional manner

  • Ability to present professionally to senior customer stakeholders

  • Computer literature

  • Flexibility – able, on occasion to work away from Phoenix and at weekends

  • Enthusiasm, self-confidence, pro-active and reliable

  • Ability to work under pressure and to exercise initiative when required

  • A positive and pro-active attitude

  • The ability to work without immediate supervision whilst displaying both initiative and flexibility

  • Previous sales or account management experience strongly preferred

  • Aviation background preferred; especially flight training experience
