Job Summary:
The Benefits Manager manages the daily administration of the organization’s health and welfare and retirement programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, wellness, leave management and retirement. The Benefits Manager also has a heavy emphasis on customer experience, data integrity, metrics and analytics.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Daily administration of the organization’s benefit program.
Assisting in developing and improving benefits processes and policies.
Manages escalated benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
Oversees leave and absence management
Supporting annual enrollment including user acceptance testing, reviewing written communications, answering questions from HR business partners and facilitating employee benefits meetings.
Assists with implementing approved changes to plans with vendors/carriers.
Maintains benefit related employee data in HRMS system
Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and continual process improvement.
Assists with external vendor/carrier management.
Supporting special projects and business analysis as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid position
Occasional work outside normal business hours as needed
Occasional travel as needed
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
5+ years benefits administration management or related experience
Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
CBP or other benefits certification
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots
Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting
Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other equipment safely.
With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others
Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad
