The system Test team is part of the Database Server Technologies division. It is responsible for performing multi-tier stress, destructive, and performance tests using various testing tools, to emulate real-world enterprise DB usage scenarios. These simulations are conducted in a lab environment consisting of tens/hundreds of servers, to mimic end-to-end high-stress scenarios, involving large and complex DB configurations.

As a member of the team, we will give you proper training, so you get the chance to explore the latest Oracle DB features and technologies. You will gain first-hand experience in a few very large/complex DB configurations, both for on-premises and Oracle Cloud service. You will be responsible for designing cases and writing shell or Python codes and to automate the tests. Responsibilities

1. Extensive experience in designing and developing a wide range of database objects, including tables, indexes, views, portioning, sequences, functions, procedures, packages, cursors, triggers, bulk collections etc.

2. Proven expertise in SQL and PL/SQL along with basic Oracle DBA skills

3. Demonstrated good understanding of ETL, OLAP, OLTP concepts and Data Modeling.

4. Ability to Design, implement, and maintain High Scale OLTP Workloads to handle high volumes of transactions. Monitor and optimize transaction workflows to ensure maximum throughput and minimal latency.

5. Strong understanding of Database links, distributed transaction processing and ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) properties.

6. Ability to Develop and manage strategies for handling concurrent transactions, including locking mechanisms and isolation levels. Monitor and resolve deadlocks and contention issues.

7. Proficient in Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, WinSCP, and PuTTY.

8. Strong understanding of Oracle Database Performance Tuning methodologies including SQL Tuning - Serial and Parallel Queries, Data Compression, Partitioning, Materialized Views in RAC and Multitenant environments.

9. Strong ability to understand, interpret and correlate AWR, ASH reports, TFA Logs, Exawatcher logs to troubleshoot complex performance issues, SQLT, SQLHC, EM Performance monitoring tools

10. Good understanding of the Oracle product features and options: Exadata, Clusterware, ASM, RAC, Dataguard, Golden Gate, Patching, etc.

11. Ability to build testcases to reproduce customer issues

12. Skilled in automating repetitive tasks and creating generic utilities to enhance team efficiency.

13. Adaptable and effective in fast-paced environments, with a talent for proposing practical solutions to complex challenges.

14. Open to learning new skills and technologies to stay current with industry advancements.
