VMware Senior Solution Engineer - Sweden - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Sweden

Solutions Engineering organization. The VMware Solution Engineer (SE) plays a critical role in building and sustaining customer relationships while driving the adoption of VMware solutions. The SE works as a crucial part of the Sales team to build long-term business relationships within assigned accounts
As a SE you will provide pre-sales support to our Enterprise sales organization in pursuit of modern application development, multi-cloud business opportunities and position the VMware full portfolio. As part of the SE team, we are expected to help define, accelerate and close transactional business within a defined set of accounts. We perform a variety of tasks including product overviews, customized presentations and demonstrations, infrastructure surveys, proposal development, advanced product evaluations and product feature/benefit discussions.

Present VMware product value and benefits to Managers and Director Level prospects as well as Systems Managers and Administrators
Provide technical and strategic vision about the VMware product family and present customized solutions to address complex customer requirements, utilizing VMware and partner products and professional services
You will articulate VMware’s key messages and vision and discuss key benefits for our customers
You will be recognized and utilized as a technical resource within the region
Keep abreast of developments within industry and the organization
Establish positive working relationships – internal and external
Must maintain current knowledge of complete VMware product set and be able to describe key features and benefits of each
You will actively seek out new sales opportunities by developing new and existing technical relationships within accounts
Evangelize current and future VMware products and technologies with an emphasis on large enterprise deployments and/or vertical solutions
Assisting sales in preparation of proposals, statements of work, and supporting documents for prospects
The role, responsibilities and geographical focus will change and develop over time along with the company’s rapid growth.
Experience as a sales engineer or customer-facing engineer working on customer technical sales engagement
Ability to communicate with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, Enterprise Architects or admins; and vary the message and content based on audience
A great track record of working together with Sales representatives and recent experience as a pre-sales engineer facing customers.
Communicates effectively verbally including excellent presentation skills, (experience of presenting to large audiences e.g. seminars an advantage); communicates clearly in writing; strong relationship building skills.
Ability to travel as necessary
Technical understanding of at least three of the following:
Compute virtualization (VMware or others) Cloud management systems: OpenStack, CloudStack, vRealize Automation, vCloud Director
Container Technologies K8s
Have knowledge and experience with building & deploying enterprise or cloud scale applications
Public cloud transformation experience e.g Azure, AWS, GCP or equivalent
SaaS based and/or Subscription selling experience
