Google Lead Group Product Manager, Search, Community Contributions in Singapore

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.

  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

  • 5 years of experience in people management with technical leadership.

  • 5 years of experience in consumer-facing product management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • 5 years of experience in software development or engineering.

  • 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.

  • Experience incorporating inclusion and accessibility into product development methodologies and knowledge of and interest in building accessibility best practices.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Community team works to make Search a go-to place for fresh, engaging content through interactive and seamless experiences. We focus on incorporating more human voices into Search, allowing users to add knowledge. We ensure the right content from external social platforms appears in Search, making it fun and easy for users to enjoy. We help users make informed decisions during their Search journeys. We empower users to interact and contribute directly within Search, ranging from simple actions like thumbs up/down to discussions, Question and Answer (Q&A), reviews, images, and posts.

  • Lead the public contribution strategy by defining the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for public contributions in Search.

  • Drive product development by overseeing a team of PMs to deliver in a new and ambiguous product space, utilizing experimentation and data-driven insights.

  • Collaborate across functions by working closely with engineering, communications, and other teams to ensure successful go-to-market execution.

  • Build a high-performing team by inspiring and developing a group of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-performance.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills within a geographically distributed team.
