What we're looking for:

You are an Enterprise Architect responsible for providing technical leadership for internal and customer-facing projects of large size or high complexity. You will be relied upon to be able to tackle the most challenging customers, projects and technologies. These projects range from strategic roadmap planning, to hands-on configurations, conceptual designs and may involve managing a team of people. You are expected to stay up to date on new and emerging products and share his/her knowledge and perspective with customers.

Position Summary

Although the primary responsibility of an Enterprise Architect is related to customer-facing project work, this individual should also be capable of assisting with pre-sales activities in both business and technical capacities. This individual is viewed as a trusted advisor to decision makers; act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

  • In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Citrix, with focus on large enterprise customer segment to increase product net new size, to accelerate sales cycles and to increase Citrix Consulting attach rate in Named accounts.

  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates

  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Citrix Enterprise Architect community

  • Become a trusted advisor to decision makers; act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

  • Provide the customer important guidance during their journey to multi-cloud for secure end-user computing

  • Define the customer cloud strategy for secure end-user computing through desired outcomes, gap analysis, and prioritization of workloads moved to the cloud

  • Develop customer cloud architecture, define customer application portfolio for cloud migration and migration plan to achieve target desired state

  • Leveraging industry leading practices, provide insights into managing and operating cloud-based workloads for secure end user computing

  • The role will have more technical breadth, is directly mapped to a Product Sales region or area, is more involved with strategic pre-sales activities and focuses more on project oversight vs. delivery

  • A typical mix of pre-sales and post-sales (billable projects) for this role: 80% | 20% split


  • Architecting and implementing large, complex enterprise-class solutions using Citrix technologies

  • Presenting to executives, IT Management, and developers with a high degree of comfort

  • Engaging about technical issues with business people and business issues with technical people. Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences.

  • Crafting a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience. Ability to mix deep technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story that is memorable and useful.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

  • Strong technical breadth across Virtualization, Networking, Cloud and Mobility products/technologies

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to public cloud (AWS, MS Azure or GCP)

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or systems architecture

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking

  • 5+ years of experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting

  • Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math degree desired

  • CCIA or CCE-V certification from Citrix required

  • Recommended certifications:

  • MCSE from Microsoft

  • CISSP from ISC

  • CCNA from Cisco

  • PMP from PMI

  • TOGAF from Open Group

  • AWS, MS Azure or GCP
