MUFG Associate / Vice President, Regional Trade Product Manager in Singapore

Purpose of the Role:

A new and exciting opportunity has been created to develop your career in our Regional Transaction Banking Office of Trade and Supply Chain Finance Product.

This is a junior product manager position reporting into the Head of Department (Trade and Supply Chain Finance Product, APAC) supporting principally along two lines of responsibility:

  1. Product Management

  2. Business Management

The individual must demonstrate excellent writing and presentation skills, creative problem solving skills and the desire as well aptitude to progress into more senior product management roles.

Job Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Lead New Product/Product Variation/One-off Deals Assessments for Singapore branch.

  • Manage functional stakeholders at HQ, Regionally and In-Country;

  • Strong acumen in developing product schematics

  • Analyse end-to-end transactional workflow to ensure processes are streamlined and efficient.

  • Conduct outsourcing assessments for digital trade initiatives.

  • Update Global and Regional Trade Product Guides on an annual basis.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders within HQ, Region and In-Country;

  • Conduct annual Product Assessments (“PA”) and annual Outsourcing Assessments for Trade Products/Solutions.

  • Manage functional stakeholders Regionally and In-Country;

  • Support in UAT and BV for new trade platform launches/updates to existing platforms.

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders within HQ, Region and In-Country and vendors

  • Conduct Product/market gap analysis: Synthesise client and market input to assess market opportunities and assess/prioritise associated gaps to close through product development.

  • Articulate Case Studies through Powerpoint

  • Provide thought leadership, development and promotion of new product capabilities by:

  • Conducting knowledge sharing sessions to regional stakeholders

  • Collaborating with Sales to create marketing collaterals

  • Collaborating with Regional Operations to streamline operational processes

Business Management

  • Manage Trade Product Commercialization tracking for all markets within the Asia and Oceania region.

  • Conduct product profitability and RORA analysis on a periodic basis

  • Manage expense reports and team budgets.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related fields

  • For Associate : Minimum 4 years’ experience in Transaction Banking Trade Sales or Transaction Banking Trade Product

  • For Vice President : Minimum 6 years’ experience in Transaction Banking Trade Sales or Transaction Banking Trade Product

  • Experience in data analysis and reporting in written papers, verbal presentations and visuals

  • Very strong competencies in:

  • Excel – especially related to building models for break-even model analysis, monthly product performance reporting, etc

  • PPT: translate complex scenarios into first class presentations

  • Administrative experience is desirable – must be highly organized and able to adhere to deadlines

  • Strong work ethic and with the ability to multi-task and support senior team members

  • Ability to use creativity for problem solving

  • Thrive in fast-paced working environment while being meticulous
