Amazon Investigation Associate (6 months contract), SEPO in Virtual, Philippines

Description

The role requires candidates to commit to the following:

  • This is a 6-months short term contract role.

  • Must be physically based in Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna or Rizal.

  • 5 days’ work week which includes weekends and flexible and/or holidays.

  • 9 hours/day schedule inclusive of lunch break. Operations is 24/7 – shifting, rotating and possibility of night shift

  • Internet Connectivity - maintain 100 Mbps wired internet and power connectivity

Amazon Philippines is seeking dedicated, hardworking, analytical candidates with a proven track record of performance and results-oriented thinking, to join the Seller Experience Protection Operations (SEPO) Team in Manila. Candidates will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to the investigation and elimination of online e-commerce risk. Ideal applicants will have experience in the e-commerce payments space, trust and safety field, and success in a customer-focused workplace.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating fraudulent activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and protecting our clients' interests.

The role involves proactive engagement with team members, leads, management, and third-party vendors to achieve goals. Performance will be assessed based on productivity, quality assurance, and contribution to departmental development.

Key job responsibilities

The Investigations Associate position relies on excellent judgment to plan and accomplish goals and will work under limited manager supervision. Excellent individual problem-solving and analytical skills are used to authenticate customers and complex transactions. Nearly all decisions are expected to be made independently with little to no guidance and a high degree of accuracy.

The Investigations Associate will be required to engage in frequent written and verbal communication with department management, risk analysts, risk engineers, other company associates and third party vendors to accomplish goals. They may also be required to contact customers by phone.

Productivity and quality assurance will be evaluated along with the overall contribution to the development of the department.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify underlying issues of various cases and claims of Amazon Vendor products.

  • Utilize Amazon's internal tools to view and analyze product issues.

  • Proactively collaborate with Business Leaders and Team members on a weekly basis for process alignments and updates.

  • Generate reports on the number of cases and claims resolved per day/per week.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum a high school equivalent diploma, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in investigation or customer support.

• Fresh graduates with no experience are welcome to apply

• Have the infrastructure to support working from home: a. A dedicated workspace at home, free from background noise, where they can connect to the internet and work on deliverables. b. A postpaid (wired) fiber internet connection with a minimum speed of 200 Mbps or better, and at least 100 GB of data from a reliable provider.

• Good written and spoken English skills and an ability to compose grammatically correct, concise and accurate written responses

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex transactional issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers

• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems logically

• Self disciplined, diligent, proactive and detail-oriented

• Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable working MS tools and using basic level of automation

• Experience in fields such as Investigations/Payments/Security or Banking domain

• Intermediate knowledge of E-commerce

• Able to start by October 21, 2024
