The Role: Lead Software Developer

The Location: US on-site or virtual; CST/EST hours preferred.

Grade level: 11 (internal purpose only)

The Team :

You will work with a team of intelligent, ambitious and hard-working software professionals. The team is responsible for the real-time financial data web platform. Team responsibilities include creating work items from technical requirements, producing architecture/design, implementing requirement, testing, validation of production post deployment and resolving customer production issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop industry-leading applications.

  • Work with business partners to understand and clarify requirements.

  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Respond to and resolve production issues.

  • Complete SDLC: architecture, design, development and support of tech solutions

  • Active participation in all scrum ceremonies, follow AGILE best practices effectively.

  • Play a key role in the development team to build high-quality, high-performance, scalable code

  • Produce technical design documents and conduct technical walkthroughs

  • Document and demonstrate solutions using technical design docs, diagrams and stubbed code

What we’re looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience building web applications, preferably across the full tech stack. With primary concern being the UI tier and secondarily the service tier

  • Superior knowledge of object-oriented design and design patterns.

  • Experience in client-side technologies like ReactJS,Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.

  • One or more service tier languages like C#, Java, C++ Web centric technologies like Webpack, unit testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha...

  • Web applicationperformance tuning

  • Other desirable technical knowledge(Nice to have): Kubernetes, Docker, Micro Front End

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile. SAFe experience is a plus

  • Active usage of Microsoft DevOps is preferable.

  • Proficiency in the development environment, IDEs, web & application server, GIT, Continuous Integration, unit-testing tools and defect management tools.

  • Domain knowledge of Financial Industry and Capital Markets is a plus.

  • Excellent communicationskills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,700 - $170,400. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
