We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing Oracle Linux Automation Manager on Oracle Linux (OLAM). Your responsibilities will cover various aspects of the software lifecycle, including fixes back-porting, documentation review, package dependency analysis, installation development, and communication with different teams for problem resolution. We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for automation, a creative problem-solving mindset, and the ability to deliver flexible solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain release process

• Develop and maintain installation

• Implement new features by customer's requests

• Back-port critical fixes to ensure the stability and reliability

• Perform RPM dependencies analysis and build packages

• Review and help doc team to enhance documentation to ensure accuracy and clarity for end-users

• Assist QA team with test plan design and coverage

• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A strong technical background with a proven track record of working on complex software systems

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python, demonstrating proficiency in scripting and automation

• 3+ years of experience with Ansible, showcasing expertise in automation orchestration

• 1+ year of experience with shell scripting, demonstrating your command-line proficiency

• Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems and RPM packaging, including best practices

• Outstanding troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving complex technical issues

Additionally, the following qualifications would be highly beneficial:

• Experience with open source projects contribution

• Experience with cloud technologies, such as OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins pipelines

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform

• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
