Oracle Product Manager/Strategy Director in South Korea

Job Description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

JAPAC business development and outbound product management for all database-related products for cloud and license, with a special emphasis on Autonomous Database (strategic product) and with a goal to drive significant market growth in the region.

Responsibilities

  1. Establish credibility with local sales and presales leadership to influence to drive key database sales plays

  2. Drive key opportunities and marquee deals involving key executives in product development.

  3. Proactively identify / remove sales obstacles either commercial or technical

  4. Create relevant enablement plans in country for strategic sales plays

  5. Build executive relationships with key database customers to drive customer satisfaction, better customer experience, and referenceability.

  6. Establish a customer advisory board and provide regular product updates to key customers

  7. Support ongoing region wide and/or local marketing activities

  8. Identify and onboard new implementation partners

  9. Identify key ISV partners to champion the use of database

Competencies

  1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant regional experience in database and cloud business development, selling cloud infrastructure (IaaS) and /or platform (PaaS) services.

  2. 5 years of experience in deploying analytics, data lakes, data marts and/or machine learning projects. Existing experience with Oracle database, autonomous database and analytics tools preferable.

  3. Understanding of competitive solutions in cloud and noncloud environments i.e. Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Neteeza, Teradata and/or Postgres

  4. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.

  5. Ability to work independently, team worker and cando attitude.
