Description
The primary function of this position is to lead the Costing Team in APAC in the set up of product costs for new product launches, products from Shimotsuma Plant & Third Party Manufacturers (“TPM”), Distribution centers and Affiliates. In addition, this position will lead the Costing Team to provide monthly analysis of price, production and subcontracting variances, support the business to drive productivity and validate savings as well as provide cost simulation analysis to support decision making. This position requires a broad business perspective and must work effectively within a team environment to provide actionable information and insights. Work location is Singapore or Japan based on the candidate's needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Lead product costing & monitoring for APAC (15 Affiliates), Shimotsuma Plant, TPMs and Distribution Centers
Monitor and execute cost runs and review standards for reasonableness and accuracy
Partner cross functionally on error resolution regarding master data, bills of material and labor standards
Provide analytical support on variances to Plant/TPMs make timely decisions for remediation
Mentor team on standard cost principles and variance analysis and reviews
2) Provide support on Plan/Outlook
Development and review of annual product cost standards and supporting analytics for cost changes
Review data simulation for costing to ensure budget guidelines and savings targets have been achieved
Provide cost guidance to the region during budgets and new product launches
3) Partner with GSR and Planning team to drive productivity and validate savings
Identify opportunities for savlngs
Validate savings put forward by GSR
Support business decision through the use of cost analysis and simulations
4) Support implementation of Financial Controls
Lead costing process improvements to achieve greater efficiency
Support the finance and operational team to provide sound internal financial controls environment
Executes control procedures to ensure integrity of financial records including regular testing and reviews
Lead and oversee team members to support projects in the region including new DC or entity setups as well as UATs
5) Develop the Team

Qualifications
At least 4 years manufacturing or related experience
CMA or Six Sigma Lean Blackbelt (preferred)
Power BI (preferred)
Excellent business partnering and presentation skills
Experienced with collaboration across stakeholders.
Knowledge of supply chain (preferred)
SAP and Corporate Performance Management experience
Detail oriented
