Hyatt Assistant Human Resources Manager in Jordan

Description:

o To conduct screening interviews and coordinate recruitment activities in liaison with the respective Department Heads, Leadership Committee, and the Personnel Manager.

o Recruitment activities include handling associate requisitions, new hire reports, vacancy reports, and status of new hires, staying in touch with new hires on arrival, visa, flight, pick up, sending of offer letters, recruitment checklist, and recruitment agencies

o To assist with the coordination of all visas and immigration activities when necessary and monitor the passports and immigration papers of foreign national associates in conjunction with the Personnel Officer – Immigration.

o To ensure that all associate records are kept up to date (including associate annual leave, business trips, and medical leave).

o To administer all internal transfers within the hotel.

o To coordinate the administration of the associate performance appraisal system and succession planning in liaison with the Personnel Manager.

o To be familiar with the administration of associate benefits and salaries.

o To assist with apartment Accommodation for foreign nationals associates in conjunction with the Assistant Manager - Housing. This includes responsibilities such as; ensuring new hire accommodation, Coordinating-housing allowance as and when required and approved, communicating any status changes/promotions of change of benefit, and assisting the Director of Human Resources in handling any housing issues.

o To assist the Personnel Manager with Annual Salary and Benefits Survey. Business Plans, Manning Guide.

o To assist and coordinate with the transportation of the associates and ensure proper communication with the transportation provider.

o To monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of the Associate Restaurant and Locker Rooms.

o To assist the Security & Safety Manager in locker inspections.

o To assist the Director of Human Resources and Training Manager with the compilation and Implementation of all associate communications.

o To counsel associates in career prospects, personal issues, job-related issues, grievances, discipline, etc.

o To communicate with labor offices and labor-law specialists, and have a thorough understanding of the labor law.

o To be conversant with productivity ratios and to produce the various month-end reports (e.g. Owner report, associate headcount, and insurance report), associate sick leave report, and vacation reports. To monitor turnover trends, and leaver statistics and maintain an up-to-date manning guide for the hotel.

o To assist the Training Manager with Orientation training on job-related issues.

o To assist the Training Manager in the update of the Departmental Operations Manuals on an annual basis.

o To be actively involved in the coordination and organization of social and sports activities for the associates working closely with the Training department.

o To be responsible for the security and upkeep of personnel files including foreign national associate files.

o To maintain and update the Personnel records and Sunfish system as and when required together with Personnel Manager.

o To respond to changes in the Human Resources function as dictated by the hotel.
