PACIV OSI PI Engineer 5+ yrs experience must have a valid EU Work Permit and Irish Residency in Ireland
Position : AVEVA OSI PI Engineer.
PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the US and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Sciences, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for a regular employment based AVEVA OSI PI Engineer with minimum 5+ years’ experience for its client site in the Cork area.
Role Summary
The Engineer will be part of a team responsible for implementing projects to upgrade and enhance the OSiPi system capabilities and supporting the existing OSiPi platform.
Main Responsibilities:
Work as part of the OSI PI team to implement upgrades and new interfaces and maintain the existing system.
Support the OSI PI asset framework architecture, infrastructure, troubleshooting and resolving issues with the help of OSI Soft if required
Assist the OSI PI team in identifying and mitigating technical risks
Prepare project validation deliverables i.e. Validation Plan, Requirements, Design, Test Plan, Test documentation, Validation Report
Write and/or execute test scripts, prepare defect reports and Test Summary Report
Prepare proposals around process improvements, get cooperation across the team and quality on these proposals.
Update SOPs to incorporate new processes and the use of enhanced technology
Ensure compliance with Corporate Quality Standards and Practices
Skills required:
5+ years’ experience implementing and supporting OSi Pi projects
Background in software development and systems analysis/configuration
Experience in asset framework and event frames implementation
Experience of application installation and formalised approach to Change Control
Experience of writing life-cycle documentation validation plans, requirements gathering, design documentation, system configuration, system testing and troubleshooting
Strong oral and written communication skills are required, with proven ability to communicate and build relationships cross-functionally.
Self motivated with ability to work independently
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of DCS automated facilities in the pharma industry
Knowledge of ER/ES and data integrity guidelines
Experience of working in a GMP environment
Familiarity with agile methodology
Database, SQL, ETL, API and data analytical skills
