JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, you will provide on-going worldwide business support for Orders, EWM and Business Analytics as well as working with IT and users to define, prioritize, communicate, test and implement system changes. You will assist with user testing, project sign off, worldwide communications and ongoing system support to minimize system outages resulting from quarterly and emergency release implementations and day-to-day operations
Support development and testing of business reporting/metrics in the SPM solution used to monitor supply chain performance.
ServiceNow Reporting Incident Management & Resolution
Reporting (BI) council support
Create dashboards in PowerBI for decision making support in Operations
Use/Enhance existing operational reports in Business objects
Researches and consults on system and process solutions for internal and external users worldwide
Provide daily on-going EWM and/or parts order business support
Development and maintenance support responsibilities for the parts ordering and EWM system- test emergency and/or system enhancement change requests, developing new users worldwide coordinating communications, and providing installation and support
Identifies and implements changes to Caterpillar parts distribution systems and processes often requiring researching different alternatives to accomplish goals
Accountable for ensuring all parts ordering system changes and EWM projects are successfully implemented without negative impact on parts operations and customers
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related technical field
3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and/or supply chain
Demonstrated experience/technical expertise within Cat Parts legacy/SPM operational systems, reporting and metrics development
Demonstrated expertise with BOBj Universe & Reporting Tools
Knowledge of SAP Hana, Teradata, Snowflake Database(s)
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of the Caterpillar aftermarket parts distribution supply chain
Demonstrated experience/technical expertise with legacy/SPM reporting tools used to monitor supply chain or operational performance
Ability to simplify complex information and develop/deliver clear communications
Strong PC Skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
