Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The candidate should have expertise in build system, continuous integration, Groovy Scripting, Cloud concepts(OCI preferred) and Containerization to modernize a legacy build system and its CI-CD pipeline. This position will be responsible for the design and development of any new feature in the build and CI-CD system, identification and fixation of the production issues and guiding the team to ensure quality delivery as a technical leader. We operate using agile principles and currently have teams located in U.S. and India. The engineer should have a solid background in DevOps and should be familiar with DevOps tools like GitHub, Artifactory, SonarQube, OCI etc.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

CI-CD Pipeline Development : Design, develop, manage, and optimize CI-CD pipeline to ensure fast and reliable delivery of software.

Automation using Scripting Languages: Automate CI-CD pipeline processes using different scripting languages (Groovy, Power shell, Python)

Trouble shooting and bug fixing : Identify, diagnose, and resolve various production issues of the CI-CD pipeline.

Legacy build system : Development of clear understanding of the legacy build system architecture to help the modernization effort.

Gradle Plugin Development : Design, development, and modification of Gradle plugins to help the build modernization effort.

Design and maintain the build environment : Configure, Design, and maintain build infrastructure in docker containers.

Qualifications

• Experience in Design Creation of Build Systems, DevOps and CI-CD pipelines, Container orchestration.

• Familiar with scripting in Linux Shell, python, Groovy, Power Shell etc.

• Expert in Gradle and SDLC of Gradle plugin development

• Expert in Jenkins pipeline development

• Expertise in Containerization using Docker.

• Solid understanding of security and performance issue.

• Clear knowledge on DevOps tools like GitHub, Artifactory, SVN, Scanning tools like SonarQube etc.

• Technical field exposure in Cloud Infrastructure (OCI preferred), VM, RDBMS

• Proficient in analyzing the various server logs for Root Cause Analysis

• Deep debugging and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience and expertise in automation.

• As a Tech Lead, need to provide technical guidance to the team and ensure quality delivery.

• Need to be a great team player yet independent on getting to results.

• Experience in working in a distributed team model.

• Excellent communication skills
