Ford Motor Company Securitization Accounting Lead (SG08) in Chennai, India

The FCE Securitization Accounting Deputy Manager is responsible for the accounting for FCE securitization programs and the related intercompany transactions including cash, finance receivables, and debt. Key responsibilities include review of new deal analysis, reviewing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close schedules, along with reviewing journal entries and monthly reconciliations for all accounts. This position is responsible for supporting Ford Credit North America (FCNA) Securitization Accounting, FCE Bank and stand-alone financial reporting requirements. The manager will work with FCNA Securitization Accounting for new types of securitization transactions, to ensure proper accounting. The manager also provides support to other Treasury groups, as needed.

Frequency Task

Monthly

Ensure month-end close completed. Key responsibilities:

  • Review of the final version of the asset forecast

  • Review standard (recurring) and non-recurring journal entries

  • Review key accounts during close

  • Certify all account reconciliations by the last day of the month in Blackline

  • Review monthly financial reporting schedules investigating all variances (e..g, Secured Debt report)

  • Complete journal entry log, verifying completeness of journal entries recorded

  • Complete system input output check

Quarterly / Annually

  • Review quarterly and annual financial reporting schedules investigating all variances

  • Review annual Securitization footnote within the FCE Bank annual financial statements

  • Complete quarterly and annual review of high risk spreadsheets

  • Review Globaldrive financial statements prepared by management companies

  • Support MCRP testing

  • Prepare annual PwC audit budget

  • Maintain FCE legal entity listing, including initiating required changes in GEMS

As needed

  • Support launch of new securitization transactions, commitment activity (new, extension, renewal, capacity change), and transaction deal calls

  • Provide information to auditors as required

  • Review desk procedures annually

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Supervisory and leadership skills

  • Qualified CA with previous experience in Accounting-related positions and systems, knowledge of SAP

  • Strong English communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

  • Organized approach with attention to quality and process discipline

  • Self-driven, ability to prioritize and advance multiple assignments simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with cross-functional teams

  • Responsive to management and auditor requests

  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail

  • Strong IT skills and quick learner with new systems

  • Ability to generate ideas for improvement and implement those ideas independently
