Oracle BI Engineer in India

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Extraction and Transformation :

  2. Extract data from Databricks and Snowflake using appropriate connectors and APIs.

  3. Transform raw data into a format suitable for Qlik applications, ensuring data quality and consistency.

  4. Implement ETL processes to harmonize data across platforms.

  5. Qlik Application Development :

  6. Design and develop Qlik applications, dashboards, and visualizations.

  7. Create data models within Qlik, optimizing performance and usability.

  8. Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into effective Qlik solutions.

  9. Integration with Databricks and Snowflake :

  10. Establish seamless connections between Qlik and Databricks/Snowflake.

  11. Leverage APIs, SQL queries, and data pipelines to fetch relevant data.

  12. Ensure data consistency and accuracy during integration.

  13. Performance Optimization :

  14. Monitor and fine-tune Qlik applications for optimal performance.

  15. Identify bottlenecks, optimize data loading, and enhance query response times.

  16. Data Governance:

  17. Implement access controls, data lineage, and security measures.

  18. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

  19. Collaboration and Documentation :

  20. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

  21. Document data integration processes, data flows, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a software developer with exposure to Qlik.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying Databricks and Snowflake.

  • Familiarity with ETL concepts and data modeling.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Ideal to have some background knowledge around Finance / Investment Banking / Fixed Income / OCIO Business
