The Opportunity

The incumbent will be an integral part of the Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) team, focusing on the build out and implementation of Shared Service strategy for Asia Finance, and identify process and data optimization opportunities in partnership with the Asia Finance Transformation team. The role will report to the Head of GFSS and a matrix reporting into the Head of Asia Finance Transformation.

The incumbent will build a strong partnership with the Asia Finance Transformation team in identifying opportunities for process optimization and transition of work into a shared service model, while ensuring alignment between GFSS and Asia Transformation priorities. The incumbent will drive an optimum target operating model between segment and shared service-based Finance activities.

We are looking for someone with:

  • University degree in Finance or a related discipline

  • Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Team leadership and shared service experience is an advantage

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strong stakeholder management capabilities

  • Project Management experience is a plus

  • Ability to influence others and drive changes to align with the initiative’s objectives

  • Experience working within the regional environment is an advantage

  • Assertive self-starter, detail-oriented, with willingness to take ownership and accountability

  • Able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, with the mindset of continuous improvement and aiming for excellence.

  • The ability to impact and influence at all levels, across multiple reporting lines, and to navigate collaboratively and strategically across a highly-matrixed environment

On the job you will:

  • Assess current state of our Asia Finance shared services to identify challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement of GFSS service delivery.

  • Accountable to ensure that activities migrated from Asia Finance to shared services achieve global economies of scale, with a clear and consistent strategy geared towards enabling process standardization and alignment with Global Finance and GFSS strategy.

  • Help in the delivery of GFSS global vision as the key connector between Asia Finance leadership and business units and GFSS operations teams

  • In alignment with the GFSS roadmap, drive the optimization of our global shared services with respect to Asia Finance, including key principles of high engagement, optimal utilization of capacity, and potentially different or hybrid service approaches that will cater to the diverse needs of Asia business units whilst ensuring adherence to our global shared service strategy.

  • Through close collaboration with GFSS management teams and Asia Finance stakeholders, provide oversight to our global resourcing operations to support continuous improvement of Asia GFSS service delivery, building and oversight of operational KPIs, and taking the lead in proactively identifying, addressing and resolving operational issues.

  • Evaluate the current shared services location strategy to ensure shared services is operated with optimized delivery and cost, including diversification of shared services locations

  • Participate in projects or other ad hoc activities as determined by the Head of GFSS
