Google Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud (English, Cantonese, Mandarin) in Hong Kong

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in a technical sales engineering role in security or cloud native environments.

  • Experience in cybersecurity domains such as network security, SoC platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOAR), threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems.

  • Ability to communicate in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin fluently in order to communicate in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Cloud or Security industry.

  • Experience in implementing security solutions for enterprises (e.g., threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management systems).

  • Knowledge of product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry (e.g., ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust, etc.).

  • Ability to speak publicly and deliver technical presentations.

  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including Google Cloud Specialist Sales, Field Sales, Post Sales, Product Management, to execute successful strategies.

  • Ability to travel for work and training purposes.

You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Customer Engineer, you will help grow our cyber-security business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. You will be a trusted advisor to customers and an advocate for our security solutions. You will provide support to C-level, security leaders, cloud security architects, and security analysts, using both technical and business skill sets to lead projects forward. You'll accompany customers in discovering the technology/solution and consult around the best way to secure and ensure compliance. You'll optimize for results when in production, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply the impact of the team.

  • Partner with diverse teams to assess business prospects, grasp customer cybersecurity concerns, and craft strategies to overcome technical hurdles. Support customer-facing presentations and conduct workshops to share the experience and be a subject matter expert on cyber security.

  • Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.

  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to complete solutions using best practices on Google Cloud.

  • Support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings and proof-of-concept work, partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer engagement with Google Cloud.

  • Engage with C-level to shape cybersecurity roadmaps, promoting Google Cloud Security solutions, and demonstrate expertise in consulting services (e.g., Threat Intel, SecOps, Red Teaming, IRR).
