Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Project Manager (Aviation) - TERMINALS to join our team! In this role you will get to provide leadership and direction for every phase of a significant Airport Terminal program to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The Project Manager will develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. The range of work will include operation, and construction works related to airfield , road network and parking and other associated activities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • To support the Development & Technical drive towards efficiency in the delivery of assigned tasks and projects

  • To support the project in administering contracts, including the transfer of risk and liability for design through the project lifecycle. A mature and flexible approach to design ownership will be essential to match the varied nature of projects across the airport.

  • Act as client representative and key communication point for all stakeholders (internal and external) in order to ensure timely sharing of information and decision.

  • To provide preliminary design information enabling accurate initial budgets to be developed.

  • Identify and evaluate a range of possible solutions make a recommendation on the best solution and develop the chosen solution through the feasibility stage, in accordance with the Development Process.

  • Through close liaison with the Airport Project Team and others, to ensure that all relevant information is available to enable project delivery activities to be undertaken efficiently.

  • Support the efficient integration of new facilities into the existing operation.

  • Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies and procedures.

  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

  • Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and quality is acceptable.

  • Provides technical direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants. This may include obtaining the services of consultants.

  • Advises engineering and project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability.

  • Recommends design methods, equipment use, etc., for discipline standards.

  • Supervises the production of project drawings and design calculations.

  • Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree In Engineering, Architecture or equivalent from a recognized university.

  • PMP certification or Equivalent.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Management projects and 5 years in Airports.

  • Has previous similar large scale PMO’s projects experience.

  • Experience in Greece is preferred.

  • Aviation experience is mandatory and must be related to construction of Airport Facilities, phasing, planning, relocation of operational facilities and Terminal.

  • Must have experience in client facing roles.

  • Effective oral and written skills for client presentations, technical reporting, and internal / external correspondence; Ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders as required by the client

  • Understanding of the construction management at risk alternative delivery process and the functions inherent to construction management of large-scale projects

  • Understanding of budget development and cost accounting

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • Chartered Engineer status is ideal.

  • Ability to manage and encourage a team of construction management professionals

  • Ability to interface with all levels with project team, client, and others

  • Knowledge of construction contract negotiation and administration

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents

  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints

  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of support function problems

  • Ability to function in a multi-organizational environment by developing relationships that complies with the client’s proactive, collaborative culture
