Role Overview

Corndel is seeking exceptional individuals to join our Operations team as Professional Development Experts (PDEs) to deliver first-class coaching and training for our new  Business Change Professional Development Expert  Level 4 programme.

In order to succeed, applicants should have experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Business Analysis Consultant, Business Process Analyst, Data Analyst (with a focus on business analysis), Systems Analyst, or Change Professional. We are seeking individuals who have a good understanding of the intricacies, challenges, and benefits of managing business change and transformation, as well as managing teams that implement change. We are also looking for individuals willing to share their knowledge and skills, along with an accredited and highly regarded qualification, to help others succeed. As part of your professional development, we will support you in obtaining a teaching qualification, so previous teaching/training experience is not necessary, but it would be an added advantage.

As a Corndel Professional Development Expert, you will provide first-class coaching, mentoring, and training to develop and progress learners working with some of the largest and highest-profile businesses in the UK.

You will join a revolutionary company pioneering a smarter, more agile, and more effective approach to skill development through a comprehensive vocational learning program. Corndel provides a diverse range of vocational learning programs, such as Leadership and Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Data Professional, Data Analytics, DevOps, Software Development, and Fundraising.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of learners, mentoring, coaching, and equipping them to become better business change and transformation professionals, applying these new skills in their roles.

  • Customise our theoretical course content for each individual learner you support through regular teaching sessions and workshops.

  • Support your caseload of learners in completing all Corndel training materials and assessment tasks in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that each learner is actively working on their respective qualification, recognises its value, is making progress, and is actively pursuing it as a means of advancing their career.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support learner progress and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Ultimately, your success will be measured by the number of learners successfully completing the qualification and the satisfaction of each learner and their line manager with the Corndel program.

  • There is potential for you to manage client account relationships from an operational perspective.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the values of Corndel and an understanding of the transformative impact of education

    KPI’s – by cohort typically 40-45 learners

  • Teaching a cohort of learners through their  Business Change Professional Development Expert Level 4 programme.

  • Ensuring that over 85% of learners achieve their qualifications on time.

  • Meeting regular milestones for each learner to present a compliant portfolio of evidence.

  • Supporting learners to complete their portfolios within the set timescales and to the highest standard possible.

  • Timetabling and conducting one-to-one teaching, coaching, and mentoring sessions regularly tailored to each individual learner.

  • Facilitating online and face-to-face workshops that engage, motivate, and educate the learners.

  • Engaging with the learners' line managers on a quarterly basis to review progress.

  • Adhering to all compliance requirements for the qualification.

  • Collaborating with the Skills for Business team to engage learners through relevant Maths & English qualifications

    Person Specification

    Minimum previous experience required:

  • Mid-level Business Analyst or higher

  • Should have held a leadership or mentoring role previously, whether formally as a team leader or informally leading projects.

  • Experience in leading training sessions or workshops would be beneficial.

    Ideal level of experience:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.

  • Experience should include practical application of business analysis techniques in multiple projects, ideally across different phases of project life cycles.

    Education and Qualifications

    Ideal education or qualifications

    Studied in  Teaching, Business, Business Analysis, Change Management, Project Management, Coaching .

  • Teaching qualification (AET Equivalent)

  • Coaching qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Advanced certifications like CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis) or relevant business analysis modules from the BCS (British Computer Society) would be highly desirable

    Technical skills required

  • MSTeams

  • Excel

  • PowerPoint

  • Digital engagement tools (menti/Miro/Whiteboarding etc)

  • Microsoft Word

  • Group learning/Facilitation skills

  • Coaching or mentoring

  • Proficient in business process modelling tools such as Microsoft Visio or similar

  • Able to conduct simple data modelling

  • Comfortable using data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, or specialised software like Tableau or Power BI

  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and collaboration tools such as MS Teams for virtual meetings and workshops.

  • Good understanding of business analysis methodologies (e.g., BABOK, Agile/Scrum)

  • Good understanding of requirements management, prioritisation and acceptance criteria.

    Core Skills

  • The ability to listen attentively and empathetically to learners.

  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication: the ability to convey ideas, provide feedback, and facilitate productive discussions with learners.

  • The ability to ask open-ended questions, actively listen, and guide learners to identify their own solutions and take action.

  • The ability to help learners set clear, specific, and achievable goals, with a foundational understanding of goal-setting techniques.

  • The ability to assess a learner's strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement and tailor coaching, feedback, and facilitation to the learner's individual needs.

  • A deep understanding of personal development theories, strategies, and practices is essential, and staying updated on the latest trends and research is important.

  • Being able to motivate and inspire learners to stay committed to their program, even in the face of challenges.

  • The ability to understand your own biases, values, and beliefs, which can impact your coaching approach.

  • Effective time management skills are essential for structuring one-to-one coaching sessions, running workshops, keeping on top of admin, and setting priorities, as well as helping learners manage their time effectively.

  • Providing constructive feedback and evaluating learner progress is necessary for tracking development and making necessary adjustments to Individual Learning Plans.

  • Being able to handle conflicts or resistance that may arise during one-to-one coaching sessions or workshops in a constructive and empathetic manner
