DEPARTMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW:

A Business Development Manager will engage independent optician customers with effective account management to increase the use of Essilor lenses with existing and newly approached Clients, to seek for new business opportunities. The primary focus of this position will be to foster, build and maintain relationships that will develop sales of the Company’s full product range in line with stated goals and forecasts.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

› Maintaining an effective and consistent call programme infield for Independent Accounts

› Selling Essilor products to increase business results by ensuring that Essilor becomes the preferred supplier in the managed region

› Presenting relevant commercial activity to key personnel agreeing initiatives and processes required to ensure its success - real focus on differentiation with personalised lenses and premium technologies

› Assuring ongoing support to customers (visits, trainings, seminars etc.) – readiness for travels

› Developing excellent relationships throughout the optical industry

› Maintaining accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts to ensure that sales data and market activity can be analysed accurately

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

› Bachelor’s degree preferred, GCSE level or equivalent is a must

› Optical education/experience preferred

› Experience of successful sales account management in related field

› Sales approach and the competitors market knowledge

› High level of communication and negotiation skills – ability to adapt to the different interlocutors

› Driver’s license

› Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, company products and a good understanding of the UK optical market would be an asset
