Position Summary

A Business Account Manager position across our entire portfolio of products and brands. Managing one of the UK’s largest Grocery retailers with the aim of generating mutually profitable revenue growth for Energizer & the customer. Achieved through strong internal and external relationships, developing strategic plans around distribution, pricing, promotion, and placement. With full autonomy of the P&L from topline revenue down to profitability, the role encourages entrepreneurship and fully empowers the successful account manager to take decisions on how best to achieve growth and targets.

This role includes people management responsibilities and offers the potential for progression to Channel Director or similar, contingent upon demonstrated competencies and abilities.

Responsibilities

Universal Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute annual business plans that efficiently achieve customer & Energizer goals/objectives

  • Monitor plan progression monthly, exploring and progressing opportunities, and identifying and managing risks

  • Manage overall customer P&L and deliver financial targets, actively pursuing opportunities, while mitigating risks

Specific Accountabilities

  • Reporting

  • People Management - Managing the performance and development of one direct reporting line

  • Collaborate with Demand and Supply planning teams to accurately reflect customer volume requirements

  • Foster strong customer relations with external partners across buying, merchandising and supply teams

  • Be the voice of the customer internally, working cross functionally with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Category Development and Marketing Activation to hone and deliver account plans

  • Own and manage all customer contracts, trade fund management and promotion ROI analysis

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

What we are looking for

  • A minimum of three years’ Account Management experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively identify issues and recommend solutions

  • Analytical ability to translate data into actionable insight

  • Experience and ability to work effectively in teams

  • Proficient knowledge and use of MS Office required (Excel & PowerPoint)
