We hire a Project manager / Republic of Guinea Project (m./f.) (job creation)

Location : Gennevilliers (Travels to Republic of Guinea 50% of the time)

Who will you be working with?

You will interface with the customer, local subcontractors, local regulators, bankers, and government entities.

How will you make a difference?

You will support the efforts to implement Train Control systems on the Chemin de Fer de Conakry (CBG) railway in the Republic of Guinea

You will execute and deliver our Railway project business within all regions, primarily the continent of Africa.

What do we want to know about you?

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or equivalent experience in Project Management, Engineering/Civil or related field experience

  • 8-10 years’ experience with project planning/management systems/tools, scheduling, budget monitoring, and task execution.

  • Excellent communication skills required (verbal and written). Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in French and English

  • Ability to effectively interact with external Departments, Funding/Regulatory Agencies, Vendors and Customer/s to foster confidence in the services being provided.

We would love it if you had:

  • Experience in railway industry (Signals, Communications, Operations, Engineering, etc.).

What will your typical day look like?

You will track, manage, and update local activities according schedule.

You will coordinate travel for commuters supporting the project.

You will be responsible for tracking and monitoring critical project milestones.

You will maintain & update project management reports.

You will manage and update project budgets and assit assist with resolving engineering, material and construction conflicts.

You will help with quotes, proposals creations and submittals.

You will identify risks, and develop countermeasures

You are responsible for contract management, project scope, risk, and Change Orders (CO)

You will represent the company as the senior customer program interface.

You will lead resources dedicated to projects, customer reviews on project status, risk management, schedule, budget, performance to plan, etc.

What about the physical demands of the job?

  • Long hours working outdoors and exposed to the variable environmental weather conditions (dry seasons, heavy rainy seasons with humidity hot & sunny days, etc.).

  • You may experience occasional power and internet outages

  • Roads can be challenging to travel, especially during rainy season

  • Living conditions and office work will be in air conditioned buildings
