Citigroup Corporate Banking Associate in Finland
Citi serves as a trusted partner to our clients in Finland. We work with large multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities based in the market. We are looking for an Associate / Senior Analyst to our Corporate Banking team in Helsinki. Final decision on the level will be made based on the candidate’s prior experience.
Corporate Banking sits in Citi’s Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory division. We support our clients by delivering an international network (physical presence in 96 countries) and an integrated range of wholesale banking products and services to clients who value our unmatched country presence. This includes multinationals that are expanding globally, particularly in the emerging markets, and emerging markets companies that are growing beyond their home market/region.

The Corporate Banking Associate is an intermediate level professional, you will form part of a team that is responsible for providing banking solutions for Citi’s clients in Finland. The overall objective of this role is to drive revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.
Partner with Senior Bankers to bring the best of Citi to our clients, delivering our network and expertise.
Support Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue
Active participation in large episodic client transactions. Assist with day to day activities, trading initiatives, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, derivatives.
Responsible for navigating internal approval processes.
Responsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses and build financial models
Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
5-8 years of relevant experience
Strong credit skills, credit background and/or knowledge of Citi’s credit policies
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English and a Nordic language required
MBA or Master's Degree in Business preferred
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
