Oracle Frontend Windows Support Engineer in Spain
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
5+ Years Windows Support experience
Remote infrastructure support experience
Strong knowledge in Windows servers
Propensity for knowledge sharing
Basic understanding of VMware technology
Ability to work in a team environment
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Innovative, self-motivated, and able to interact with all levels of the organization
Must possess the initiative to resolve issues before they become critical
Ability to work assigned night or day schedule and work off-hours when required
Preferred Qualifications:
Current MCSE/MCSA/ITIL certification.
Cluster Administration (configure cluster, cluster resources and groups, states and dependencies)
User and Group Administration, File Permissions, DFS
Hands on Experience on ITSM tools like CA service desk, BMC Remedy and JIRA
Windows PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility:
Hands on experience in Server Administration, Configuration & Troubleshooting Windows 2012/2016/2019 servers.
Hands on Experience in patching (Windows update, Security update, Hotfix and service pack) Fulfilling service requests for Infrastructure Services using ITIL Framework (Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management).
Server provisioning (physical and virtual) as well as configuring the new servers which includes installation of OS and required Applications (Backup tools, Network tools, citrix, database etc.)
Administration and Troubleshooting of Windows Cluster & domain Servers.
Work across multiple IT teams including Application Support, Developers DBA, Network and Storage to resolve incidents and complete requests.
Oracle KVM knowledge is plus
Knowledge for HPE Technologies like Synergy will help.
Analysing Server logs, Virus scanners, Backup/restore support, SQL database support.
Patch management through various patching tools
Windows Automation: PowerShell or equivalent use of system automation tools.
Exposure to Incident management, Change management and Problem managemet
