The Anatomic Pathologist will report directly to his/her/their Assistant Director of Anatomic Pathology. Anatomic Pathologists in this position interpret biopsies and generate accurate reports in a timely manner, making clinicopathologic correlations useful to clinicians.
We are looking for a 6 month contract to start with.
Work Experience
What are we looking for?
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent
Board certification or eligibility for board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) required.

Experience with dictation software, especially Dragon Medical Practice Edition, a plus
Fluency in Spanish
English and/or Portuguese is a plus
What will be your key responsibilities?
Produce pathology reports according to current Antech best practices including microscopic description, microscopic findings, comments, and citing references when appropriate.
Finalized or preliminary reports will be released in a prescribed format (i.e. synoptic report, Antech Onychopathology Advisory Panel case summaries) in compliance with the deadlines required by the service (exceptions will be made on an individual basis).
Achieve reading 50% of case load by 3 months from start date
Consult with colleagues, clients, Antech associates, and other medical/ scientific professionals via phone, email, digital pathology software, and Internet-based video conferencing
Participate in Antech Anatomic Pathology conferences, seminars, and rounds using Internet-based video conferencing
Assist lab personnel in conjunction with specimen processing as needed
Participate in digital pathology consultations with other Antech pathologists
Engage in continuing education to stay current on new knowledge, methods, and standards as pertains to diagnostic veterinary pathology
Participate in internal Quality Control
Contribute to the training of veterinary students, interns, and residents as interest and time allow
Complete other duties as assigned, relevant to Anatomic Pathology, Antech, and Mars Veterinary Health
