Rubrik Sales Engineering Manager, Germany in Germany

About The Role:

We’re seeking a strong Pre sales / Sales engineering Leader for our business in the German region who will build on the existing team and lead the organization forward to achieve further goals and successes. You will play a crucial role in building an inclusive and highly motivated Sales Engineering team across the Germany to capitalize on the market opportunity and springboard your career to the next stage of success.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the management, retention, growth & overall success of one of our regional SE teams

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Rubrik’s position and opportunities across the German region

  • Build and retain the partner ecosystem and work closely with focused partners to foster collaboration and opportunity

  • Lead the Rubrik Germany SE team in close co-operation with international experts and thought leaders.

  • Hands on approach and thought leadership into account strategies and focus

  • Sell and promotes the introduction of Rubrik to prospects and provide guidance to the team on strategy, sales process and CxO level selling.

  • Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions.

  • Demonstrates technical leadership and subject matter expertise on Rubrik’s products, distributed architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the SAN product space.

  • Acts as technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers.

  • Makes technical and sales presentations to customer's technical staff and senior management.

  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning for the region and a key member of the EMEA Management team.

  • Develop and execute a focus plan to maximize revenue and growth across Germany

  • Drive accurate team forecasting practice in line with management expectations.

  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with the sales engineering teams.

  • Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure region objectives are met.

  • Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in manager level / first line leadership pre-sales role. Experience with hands on management & mentorship of a team of Sales Engineers.

  • Experience on working with complex Mid-Market to Enterprise organizations cross verticals (ideally private & public sector)

  • The successful candidate must ideally have a fundamental breadth of technical knowledge in one or ideally all of the following: cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, data analytics, data security / cyber resiliency solutions

  • Entrepreneurial - willing to go the extra mile, strong work ethic, resourceful, “get it done” attitude

  • Proven experience in growing a region & in recruiting and retaining top talent

  • Understands & drives sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Command of the message etc)

  • Relevant domain experience across SaaS backup, cloud, data security / cyber resiliency and datacenter environments highly advantageous

  • Proven track record in a sales-driven organization, selling technology-related products and services

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Naturally Resilient, High integrity, moves with speed and Velocity. Naturally open & transparent.

  • Highly Adaptable & can manage and deal with ambiguity

  • Creative with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to work well as part of an extended sales team

  • Knowledge of Rubrik’s specific domain area

  • Leader and self-motivated.
