Amazon Risk Manager I , Escalation Management and Prevention (Level 4), Escalation Management and Prevention (EMP) in Virtual, Costa Rica

Description

Selling Partner Services (SPS) is responsible for creating a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon Stores worldwide by protecting customers, brands, selling partners, and Amazon from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse while providing world‐class support and building loyalty with Amazon’s millions of selling partners. Our team is tasked with managing and resolving abuse incidents by Amazon's Selling Partners that may harm the Amazon brand. Our growth requires leaders who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit to create new solutions, have an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify, manage, and resolve time-sensitive escalations to support world-wide operations

• Analyze escalations from various sources to determine possible root causes and preventative actions

• Write and publish techniques, guidance, and reports on incident findings

• Serve as a technical expert and liaison to leaders and partner teams including legal, PR, and other external teams

• Draft and present deep-dive documents and reports on policy and process gaps to senior executives

• Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in investigations, risk management, incident or crisis management

• Communications skills and experience creating and editing content for internal and external audiences

• Demonstrated experience working with cross departmental teams with proven collaboration skills

• Intermediate experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Integrity and discretion to handle confidential information

• 2+ years working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

• Knowledge of multiple search engines and tools in conducting open-source searches

• A proven track record of successfully delivering initiatives from conception through completion

• Ability to function effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Open to working non-standard hours (evenings and weekends) to provide on-call support for high severity events

• Most investigations will be in the English language, however language skills in Japanese, Arabic, German, Italian, Spanish, French, or other languages are ideal
