Dell Technologies Principal Supplier Quality Engineer in China

Principal Supplier Process Engineer ( Color Material and Finish )

Location: Shanghai

Working closely with our product developers, we select and monitor vendors and suppliers who can meet our high engineering and quality standards. In addition, we perform regular auditing and undertake design and development engineering assignments to develop new products or update existing products. We’re also experts in establishing systems and procedures to enhance overall quality.

What you’ll achieve

You will work with our suppliers to enable them to produce materials and components of the high quality. Working closely with our internal cross function team, we select and monitor suppliers who can meet our high engineering and quality standards. In addition, we perform supplier new process qualification and regular supplier audit to ensure the successful launch of new product and the high quality of existing products. We’re also experts in establishing systems and procedures to enhance overall quality.

You will:

  • Works closely with suppliers, sustaining groups and extended core team to ensure product predictability at the supplier.

  • Assists to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components. Assists in excursion management through root cause analysis.

  • Drives implementation and validation of improvement/corrective actions.

  • Provides recommendations and risk assessments on new suppliers and new process technology. Responsible for sustaining activities and process activities. Responsible for driving the continuous improvement plan.

  • Works with the supplier to develop and implement the quality management plan using industry tools and standards to drive quality improvements and initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above, engineering, automation, IE or material science are preferred.

  • Good knowledge of decorative and finished. Be familiar with painting, anodizing, plating processes and understand related test request methods.

  • 10+ years DF quality or engineering related experience.

  • Good communication skill in both English and mandarin.

Desirable Requirements

  • Software programming knowledge and experience is plus

  • Mechanical manufacturing and decoration experience
