Principal Supplier Process Engineer

Working closely with our product developers, we select and monitor vendors and suppliers who can meet our high engineering and quality standards. In addition, we perform regular auditing and undertake design and development engineering assignments to develop new products or update existing products. We’re also experts in establishing systems and procedures to enhance overall quality.

As a member of the Supplier Quality Engineering, you will be responsible for new Tech development, supplier quality management to hit quality metrics and sustain COS(Continuity of Supply). This job requires strong process knowledge, rich practical experience, excellent communication, influencing skills and project management skills.

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Supplier Process Engineer, you will be responsible for supplier quality management to hit quality metrics and sustain Continuity of Supply.

You will:

  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Procurement, Technology Providers, Dell suppliers, Regional Dell Factories, and other Dell functions for product launch.

  • Develop and manage project schedules for new paint product in the Dell line of business.

  • Drive quality improvements by eliminating sources of defects in the design, new product introduction, and supplier manufacturing processes.

  • Evaluate supplier performance and drive process improvement and operational results against program goals & metrics

  • Manage program risks and issues, and drive issues to closure as well as provide executive level updates on all program deliverables

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor/master's degree in chemistry or Material Science is preferred

  • 8+ years' work experience in paint materials, paint application, or related technical function (must have)

  • Detailed paint materials and paint application knowledge. Various Engineering Discipline and Manufacturing Process Knowledge

  • Advanced Quality System and Process Auditor Experience. Working Knowledge of Quality Tools such as AQP, MSA, SPC, DOE etc.

  • Strong quality issue analysis and problem-solving skills. Good communication and executive presentation skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and Strong English and Command Skills, to lead the decision-making process across multiple areas of the business.
