Landscape BIM/CAD Modeler

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking a talented Landscape BIM/CAD Modeler to join our team! In this role you will perform basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices and techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide front-line project-specific support to design teams.

• Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/ Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350.

• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare Landscape drawings consisting of general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches and general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

• Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.

• Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.

• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required to prepare Landscape drawings.

• Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.

• Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.

• Assist with the creation of CAD/BIM standards and the implementation of the same throughout the firm.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalizes them into working drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or any relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 3+ years of demonstrable experience of BIM/ CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably landscape projects .

• In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp and Revit, with proficiency in BIM/ CAD processes.

• Experience with BIM/ CAD instruction and training.

• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills.

• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.

• Has experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks.
