Chenega Government Mission Solutions (CGMS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support USDA Fire and Aviation Management . The Project Manager will be the functional lead resource for meeting facilitation and involved with all areas of the client engagement. The PM will also be responsible for managing a small multidisciplinary team of resources to execute all tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction of project activities assuring continuity of day-to-day operations.

  • Serves as primary point of contact with client, assuring that the client is up to date on project status and overall progress.

  • Overseeing specific projects on behalf of agency personnel and maintaining project schedule, and performance data.

  • Meeting regularly with government stakeholders and advising them on deliverables and issues on the project.

  • Consulting with and advising government management; providing the analytical guidance required for completion of task order projects.

  • Manage subcontractors and other consulting resources effectively.

  • Budgeting and schedule monitoring.

  • Quality surveillance and problem resolution.

  • Staff recruiting, hiring, and staff development.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.

  • Five years of relevant Project Manager experience.

  • Prior experience with wildlife conservation, fire prevention, or supporting the Forest Service is preferred.

  • Experience leading and facilitating meetings with up to 20 participants.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

  • Excellent work accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of a Government organization including senior executives

Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding.
