Now Hiring: Warehouseman

Job Description

The Warehouseman is responsible for the movement of material to and from stock locations, unloading purchased material, and performing cycle counts when required. This position will be traveling back and forth between the Virginia Beach location and Chesapeake location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that correct quantity and correct material are issued.

• Verify inventory counts through weekly cycle counts.

• Check incoming material in the computer system and store in designated areas.

• Separate non-conforming material to prevent accidental use.

• Raise visibility of processes contributing to errors.

• Maintain warehouse equipment (Forklifts, storage racks, PC’s, pallet jacks) per guidelines.

• Forklift operation

• Inventory control

• Material handling

• Warehouse management system

• Shipping and receiving

• Pallet jack operation

• Cycle counting

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license meeting company insurance standards

• A clean driving record

• Material handling certification (i.e. forklift operators certificate)

• Experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment

• Experience driving a Fork-Lift (stand-up and sit-down)

• Experience using lifting assisting equipment (cranes and hoists)

• Experience driving a box truck (preferred)

• Experience with inventory management systems (preferred)

Job Details

Pay: $17-$18

Shift : M-F 7am-3:30pm

Location: Based in Virginia Beach with travel to Chesapeake

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00
